Executive Summary

The features of Push-Button Power have been fully specified. First, the problem statement is reviewed and the high level specifications are investigated along with several use cases. The design of the variable and fixed supplies are then discussed. Next, the function and design choices for the supporting peripherals are examined. These include the processor and its software, the display, the keypad, the COP circuit, the alarm, and the thermal monitor. Additionally, laboratory testing of the variable supply modules is discussed.

After determining the project cost (approximately $40 000), a plan for implementing the supply for demonstration at the Friday 23 May 1997 SEED show is presented.
