A number of individuals and companies have helped with the development of this project. They have all provided a significant service to the project without any expectation of reimbursement or repayment, often donating their services or products when they would normally charge for them. For this the design team is indebted to, and thanks, each and every one of them.
| Jacqueline D. Herd-Barber
Motorola Semiconductor Products Inc. |
Ms. Herd-Barber loaned a complete 68F333 development kit to the project including development software, evaluation board, and three 68F333 processors. Ms. Herd-Barber is an MSOE alum and helped the project significantly. |
|
These three individuals are all Motorola employees who took time to help advise the team on which Motorola microcontroller would be best suited to the project and the availability of those processors. |
| Mr. Richard Pennington Introl Corporation 301 North Water Street Milwaukee, Wisconsin 53202 |
Mr. Pennington provided the team with the Introl-C Compiler System for the Motorola 68000 family of processors. Mr. Pennington's company, located in downtown Milwaukee donated this product to the team and has provided constant support as the team learned the specifics of programming a micro controller using a high level language and compiler. |
| Dr. Steven Reyer EECS Department, MSOE 1025 North Broadway Milwaukee, Wisconsin 53202 |
Dr. Reyer helped the team determine how to correct for expected noise in the digital system. He also provided assistance with the display issues. |
| Dr. Henry Welch EECS Department, MSOE 1025 North Broadway Milwaukee, Wisconsin 53202 |
Dr. Welch was the advisor for the design team. His constant oversight and intervention helped the group keep focused and helped overcome many of the obstacles throughout the process. |
| Mr. Joe LaRoche | Mr. LaRoche was kind enough to provide the team with the front panel of the project's enclosure. Mr. LaRoche also offered his assistance with final verification of the operation of the power supply. |
| Mr. Greg Ragsdale | Mr. Ragsdale assisted the project by lending a data communication wire to the group, as well as a power cord without which the microcontroller would not have been programmed. |
| Grayhill Incorporated 561 Hillgrove Avenue LaGrange, Illinois 60525 |
Grayhill donated the 20 key matrix style keypad which was used as the major user input device for the project. |
| National Semiconductor Corporation 1111 West Bardin Road Arlington, Texas 76017 |
National Semiconductor provided the team with several key components, such as the keypad encoder, for free. National's web site was also a great reference source for data sheets on assorted ICs. |
| Mr. Terry Sickafuse Reliance Electronics (a division of Rockwell International) |
Mr. Sickafuse supplied the team with two LCD displays and documentation about them in order to help the team overcome difficulties with the display. |
